We are happy to invite you to the official Focus-Roll-out, where we and other students will present our impressive projects. The topics reach from a machine which cultivates human skincells to an autonomous racecar.
The presentation with following exhibition of all products takes place on the 30. may from 2pm in the main building of the ETH.

Only four weeks are left to complete our project and to present it on the roll-out. Still motivated, we’re improving our system to reach our goals. We are looking forward to present soon our work to the public.

We started the eperimental work on the system and we worked on starting to operate the prototype. The first rods made of PEEK/CF have been extruded!

In the meantime, the second semester of our project has started. Most of the parts were produced and delivered and we have started to assemble the printer. In the next weeks, we will finally be able to start producing and to test the new materials. We are looking forward to it!
We also want to say thanks to our production partners - libs, LW Basel, Pavese AG, Tecnopinz, REWaG. Without their help our project would not have been possible!

New Teammember: ABB IRB1600!

Today we welcomed IRB1600 as a new member of our team! IRB1600 is an ABB industrial robot and forms together with our own designed printhead the core of 3DCarb. We would like to say a huge thank you to ABB Switzerland for supporting us.

Today we tested the material behavior during its processing with a new designed experimental set-up. It helps us to get a better understanding of the material and the process itself.
